Mission Details:
- Destination: Colombia
- Dates: May 10th – 16th, 2025
Join us for the Health Missions Program in Colombia and experience an adventure filled with personal growth and meaningful contributions. This extraordinary journey will blend the stunning beauty of Colombia with the profound impact of improving people’s lives.
Day to Day Overview
Day 1:
- Departure: International flight from Miami to Pereira.
- Activity: Upon arrival, travel to Calarcá, known for its vibrant culture and history. Enjoy a visit to Finca Paradise, where you’ll learn about the coffee production process and enjoy a traditional lunch.
Day 2:
- Health Mission: Start your day with breakfast at El Delirio Country House, followed by medical mission activities in Puerto Alejandría. Enjoy atraditional mountain picnic for lunch.
- Activity: After lunch, explore the Vieja River by motorized raft and hike to the Manabi waterfall.
Day 3:
- Health Mission: Continue our outreach in Cocora Valley. After medical sessions, enjoy a scenic hike and explore the charming town of Salento.
- Transfer: Evening travel to Medellin.
Day 4:
- Cultural Visit: Tour a local hydrangea farm in Medellin to learn about the local floral industry and visit significant historical sites.
- Free Time: Evening free for personal exploration.
Day 5:
- Health Mission: Visit Comuna 13 to engage with local artists and perform community health services.
- Activity: Attend a performance by a local down syndrome group at Teatro La Polilla.
Day 6:
- Adventure: Full day at El Salto del Buey for ziplining and waterfall hiking. Conclude the day with a special gathering with local chiropractors.
Day 7:
- Departure: Transfer to Medellin’s international airport according to your flight schedule.
